I am so excited to read your first blog post! I love that you decided to write about being a Lighthouse School. This is a significant accomplishment that all the Silver Springs leaders have made and I love hearing your thoughts about it.
I agree with you - I am also proud to be the 62nd Lighthouse School. We have such an important job to do - we must show other schools how to be great leaders! It looks like you are already doing this by writing about being a lighthouse school. I hope other schools will read your post and become eager to learn more.
How can we can be a "guide" for other schools? What do you think?
I am very proud of your hard work in writing your first blog. I cannot wait to share your blog with the Surf Team tomorrow. Happy blogging!
Thank you so much for being a grate techer at silver spings. We can be a guide for other schools by being great leaders and helping each other! how can you do that? love ZV23
It has been fun learning about blogs with you. I am so glad that you decided to write about leadership and being a lighthouse school. Everyone at Silver Springs is very proud of that accomplishment. I try to use the 7 Habits every day. What are some of the ways that you use the 7 Habits at school or at home?
I am a leader at home when I work together with my family.
dear aj11 how did you be a leader
how do you work with your family what do you do?
Dear Mrs. K,
I use habit 6 - synergize with my dad to put up Halloween decorations at home. It is my favorite holiday. What habit do you use?
dear Kn18 then help him
I bet you're a big help to your dad with the decorations when you synergiE and work together. I put first things first when I do my work at home before I watch tv or read for fun.
dear mrs k did you and mrs huts plan to have a lihgt house school becouse i relly like the school.
1 way that I use the 7 habits is by asking my parents if they could exercise with me.I like to practice tae kwon do with my dad. What do you like to do?I'm looking forward to hear back from you.
So glad to hear you use the seven habits at home. Did you teach your family all about them? What habit does exercise fit into? I sharpen the saw by reading but I also like to exercise with friends.
I didn't teach my parents about the 7 habits yet.I know what habit exercise belongs to.It belongs to habit 7, sharpen the saw.I enjoyed talking to you. What's your favorite habit?Mine's habit 7.
Dear JZ24, I knew you would know the answer to my question! You know the seven habits pretty well. Now you just have to teach your family. I like Habit 7 - Sharpen the Saw too! I love to read and spend time with my friends and I think Mrs. Georgoff told you that this summer we got to do both things when we met other Silver Springs staff members for book club. I think we really shine as a Lighthouse School when we do things together like this. Can you see Silver Springs shining as a light house school in any other ways?
1.its ok not bad some times your bad.
2.it good some time
Dear Im14 I now I now you think we are awesome so are you
I can see people sharing what their class does as leaders to other schools so that they can become leadership schools too!Have you seen others be leaders before?
Dear JZ24 - You're right! Silver Springs do a great job sharing with other schools. The teachers just had a meeting with Ridgewood teachers to share with them. Lots of people also come from other schools to take part in our Leadership Days. It is also great to see Silver Springs classes share at our Leadership Assemblies.
I also see leaders all the time at school - walking in leadership lines, being leaders in the lunchroom and on the playground.
Do you encourage others when you see them leading at our school?
I am so proud that your school is the 62nd lighthouse school. I also think your blog is great. I can't wait to read more.

What a great idea to blog about Silver Springs Lighthouse Achievement . Your leadership contributed to accomplishing this goal. Keep practicing the 7 Habits and be the change you want to see. You have set a positive example and are role models for other students.

Dear personsvilles leaders,
Being in the 62nd lighthouse schoolis awsome
how can we be better school
You raised a great question -- how can we be a better school? One way that I think we can improve our school is by getting more and more students to take on leadership roles. I am already noticing that there are many more new faces on morning announcements and that is great to see! What do you think?
thats a great answer I hope we can have more new faces on the morrning anouncements
I never knew that leadership schools wher that good I also never knew that lighthouse schools guide other schools.
It looks great to be a leadership school.Way to go!I know how to be a leader too.I love being in this school try to get better at being a leader. What is 1 way that you be a leader?
What a great comment you made! I agree - we should be proud of all that we've accomplished. I think that one way that I am a leader is that I synergize with my teammates, Mrs. S and Mrs. M every week to plan the best lessons possible for our third graders. We have to seek first to understand, then to be understood, begin with the end in mind, and put first things first! I love working with them! What about you? How are you a leader? I'm excited to hear back from you!
I am a leader by having a bubble and tails in the hallways.I love being your student and learning new stuff.I like to sharpen the saw too. What's your favorite habit?I'd like to hear back from you!
I am really enjoying reading your thoughtful comments and I love having you in Personsville as a student! That is a tough question -- I love all of the habits but I think my favorite one is "Be Proactive." I love when leaders take responsibility for their actions and don't wait to be told to do something -- they just do even if it means they won't be rewarded. I love all of the proactive students that we're growing in Personsville! How are you proactive?
This is really cool that we are the 62 lighthouse school! We are the best school in Northville.
I am so happy to be the 62nd lighthouse school too. Isn't that cool

Dear personsville leaders,
I am so glad we are a lighthouse school!Sometimes it can be kinda hard to be a lighthouse school.Do you think we could get better?
Dear lt21 - That's a really good question! Maybe we can brainstorm some ideas together on how we could be a better lighthouse school. You are so right that it can be hard. I think that the more we synergize and work together, that will help and then others will see what a lighthouse schools looks like. What do you think?
